[VIDEO] How to paint a cat in loose watercolour

Have you seen my new class available, that has been added to the library? I’m so excited to share it with you all
In this latest class I am working from photo of a gorgeous ginger cat, Zeb; which really shows off his personality and of course, his lovely vibrant ginger orangeycolour; which is fabulous to capture in loose watercolour.
We’ll be applying painterly brush strokes and using a combination of wet-in-wet and wet-on- dry techniques, we will want to pay particular attention to Zebs’ bright eyes, his distinctive colour and fluffy texture, and the markings to his head.
We will also include a complementing purple background in the layering process which will enhance his golden hues and help balance the tones within our painting. We’ll also want to observe the shape and patterns with watery mixes.
This is a great tutorial if you’d like to have practice before applying the same techniques to your own pet portraits. I’ll show you what to look for within your painting reference, and how to capture personality and form with your paint brushes.
What you’ll need:
Always remember, If you don’t have the equipment and paints I have, you can really creative an use what you do have.
