A Calm Watercolour Escape – Paint Snowdrops With Me
A Calm Watercolour Escape – Paint Snowdrops With Me

There’s something quietly uplifting about snowdrops.
Those delicate white petals, bowing gently on slender stems, feel like a promise of brighter days ahead. I always find them such a joy to paint — simple, elegant, and full of light.
I’ve created a new real-time watercolour video class where you can paint snowdrops along with me in a calm, relaxed session. This class is designed to help you slow down, enjoy the process, and explore a few beautiful techniques that really bring these flowers to life.

In this session, we begin by arranging your snowdrops with a simple sketch — you’re welcome to follow my composition or create your own. From there, we focus on building depth, softness, and atmosphere through watercolour.
You’ll learn how to:
-
Blend a few simple colours to achieve luminous shadows and subtle highlights
-
Paint a soft, glowing background wash to bring your flowers to life
-
Add salt and gentle splatter effects for a sparkling, frosted touch
-
Layer your petals to create delicate, elegant blooms
It’s a wonderfully freeing way to paint — expressive, relaxed, and surprisingly effective. Even if you only have 20–30 minutes, you can create something truly beautiful.
If you’d like to explore the class and see a preview, you can find this class here.

I’d love for you to join me and paint your own snowdrops. There’s something very special about watching them emerge softly from the page.
With love,
Jennifer Rose xx
