Painting Spring

Painting Spring

Spring is on its way!

I’ve never painted crocus flowers before, but I just had to after seeing so many on my walks in the countryside just recently. The carpet of purple hues with hints of pink and white glowing in the early spring sunshine makes me want to capture them in watercolour.

Taking photos of these small and beautiful flowers, I wondered how the best way to capture them on my paper would be? Should I paint just one, or a group of them altogether?

What do you think?

In my new short inspirational watercolour class I’ve created, I show you how to colour match your subject and encourage you to paint it in the way you feel works best. I use a real life crocus flower to refer to and photos I have taken on my walks.

My new brief watercolor classes are there to help inspire you and paint something special that you will love in just a short time!

I hope you enjoy this new brief loose watercolour class with me.

Happy Springtime painting!

Below is a little clip of the watercolour class to get you feeling inspired!

What springtime flower have you been inspired to paint? Let me know in the comments below.

With love Jennifer Rose xx
