[VIDEO] Using Dry Brush Effects In Loose Watercolour
There’s a special creative technique I use in my new watercolour classes.
It’s called ‘The Dry Brush Technique’ and offers a unique way to add texture and detail to your art.
What is it?
The dry brush technique involves using a brush with minimal water and paint, and extending it along the textured surface of the watercolour paper resulting in broken or scratchy strokes that add interest to the painting.
In my new class, I demonstrate this technique and how effective it can be to mimic textures to animal fur and create intricacies to rugged surfaces.
To demonstrate this expressive technique further, my new Loose Watercolour Stag painting Class helps you to confidently create dry brush effects in loose watercolor.
Here’s a little demo of me using the dry brush technique in this class:
I hope I’ve inspired you to give this technique a go and join me in this loose watercolour classes.
See you in the studio!
